I am sad to report that Southdale, the focus of my Path To The Queen's Plate Diary, has suffered a suspected shoulder injury and will be out for the remainder of the summer. I spoke to trainer Ian Black this afternoon who reported he arrived at six a.m Monday morning to gallop Southdale following his second place finish in the Plate Trial but found the colt unable to work...
