Orfevre much the best in 2013 debut

ORFEVRE (Yasutoshi Ikee/Kenichi Ikezoe) unleashed his showstopping turn of foot to run down his rivals and make a winning return to the racecourse in 2013. 

Second in last year's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Orfevre was then beaten a nose by Gentildonna in the Grade 1 Japan Cup on his last start of the year in November.

Held up towards the rear as Copano Jingu set the pace, Orfevre made stealthy progress on to the heels of the leaders and made his challenge rounding the turn for home.  Read More
