On Fire Baby Wins The La Troienne on Kentucky Oaks Day

On Fire Baby notched her first win in over a year in a powerhouse performance in the La Troienne!

The 5-year-old mare by Smoke Glacken was piloted by regular jockey Joe Johnson for trainer Gary Hartlage and owner Anita Cauley. It was On Fire Baby's first victory since her win in the 2013 Apple Blossom at Oaklawn. The La Troienne is On Fire Baby's second Grade 1 win, as the race was upgraded to G1 status just prior to this year's running.

Second was Molly Morgan, ridden by Cory Lanerie for Dale Romans, and Devil's Cave was third for jockey Javier Castellano and trainer Marty Wolfson.

Final time for the 1 1/16 mile race was 1:43.48. On Fire Baby paid $5.20 to WIN.
