What the Nation is saying about Zenyatta races today in the Apple Blossom...

yeah, that mare who didn't start racing til middle age, she's just a piece of poly track trash, always running against inferior opponents,; about the only thing she's done right is run 16 straight races undefeated:)
Medlocke you're making it up out of whole cloth. You have no idea how much further back Zenyatta would have been with reasonable and not glacial fractions. You have no idea whether she'd been able to catch a faster pace. Zenyatta went to the lead early BECAUSE THERE WAS NO PACE. There wasn't much quality in the race either. Let's remember Zenyatta didn't run until late May 2009, and by mid-April of her 4 year old year, Zenyatta had run a grand total of 4 races, only 1 grade one. I doubt we'll see her out of California again.
Bravo Medlocke you said it and said it well! Jess Jackson is all fluff and NO stuff!
Her exercise canters are faster than what she was made to run in today's Apple Blossom. LOL. That's the earliest I've ever seen Zenyatta go to the lead. It's almost like she didn't know what to do, because she got to the lead so early, and easily. If Rachel had been in today's race, the fraction's would've been quicker, Zenyatta would've started her run a little later, but the outcome wouldn't have been one bit different. Zenyatta would've dusted Rachel easily at Oaklawn today. Who said that horse can't race over a conventional dirt surface?
If Zenyatta win's the 2010 Apple Blossom Handicap today, no one can say that "she didn't beat anybody." Because she kept up her end of the deal. She wasn't the one that ask for an extra week to train, and still didn't show up. Any competition she may or may not have had in this race was certainly invited, and chose not to be a part. This, by all right's, could have and should have been the day that most racing fan's across this country have been waiting for, for quite some time. That's why I'm not a big fan, at all, of Jess Jackson. He talk's the talk, be he doesn't walk the walk. He's the one that ask for the extra stipulation's to the race, not the Moss's. And when Oaklawn's President obliged, it still wasn't enough. All I can say, if you really thought you filly was better than Zenyatta, then she should have been in the starting gate today. So until you face Zenyatta, and prove whether or not you can beat her, quit touting your filly as the greatest thing since sliced bread.
