Rousing Sermon is getting a rest.
After finishing eighth in Saturday's Kentucky Derby, the Parma-raised
horse is back in California for an extended break from racing.
He will not run in the Preakness Stakes on May 19, the second leg of
horse racing's Triple Crown, and won't return to action before June,
said Dan Kiser, the horse manager at Tree Top Ranches in Parma.
"He came back great, leg-wise and soundness-wise. He's perfect," Kiser said Monday. "He was a little tired. He gave it his all."
