Renton, Newfound Gold ran 5-½ furlongs in 1:02.78 on a wet-fast track
and paid $24.20, $6.60 and $5.
Olympic Lights, the 1-1 betting
favorite ridden by Robert Skelly, chased the winner from flag-fall to
finish but had to settle for second place. Olympic Lights paid $3.20 and
$2.10.
