New York horsemen and breeders plan to rally on March 21 at Belmont
Park to call on the state to finalize expanded gaming at Aqueduct.
On January 29, the state named Aqueduct Entertainment Group to
operate the gaming portion of the Aqueduct casino. Revenue from the
4,500 video lottery terminals is supposed to help fund purses and the
state’s breeding program.
Gov. David Paterson told AEG on Friday that it had until noon
Tuesday to submit required investor license applications or he would
withdraw his support for AEG.
