Name These Rivals!

Name These Rivals

Rival Clue #1 - Our rivalry was short-lived, but packed plenty of punch within three memorable meetings.

Rival Clue #2 - Both champions, we were honored with year-end awards one year apart.

Rival Clue #3 - In our first meeting, we finished only a half-length apart at healthy odds of 8-1 and 14-1 respectively.

Rival Clue #4 - One rival began his career on the East Coast, earning his first three wins in Mid-Atlantic states.

Rival Clue #5 - The other rival’s career began in Louisville, but was not a winner until racing at Santa Anita for the first time.

Rival Clue #6 - While both of our conditioners still maintain prominent roles within the industry, only one is still a trainer.

Do you know who we are yet?

Rival Clue #7 - In our final meeting, we finished 1st and 2nd at odds of 9-2 and 4-5 respectively.

Rival Clue #8 - Each rival raced at 11 different racetracks, but only one of them raced overseas.

Rival Clue #9 - What would a rivalry be without a little friendly bumping in the stretch?

Rival Clue #10 - Despite sharing a talented grandsire, one rival was bred in Kentucky, while the other was not bred in the United States.

Rival Clue #11 - Both rivals finished their career with a hard fought, but popular, victory in a grade 1 stakes race only five weeks apart.

Rival Clue #12 - Born the same year, both rivals retired at four, with a combined lifetime record of 37-15-10-7.

Go ahead … Name us both!

Not so wild ... I actually worried about that clue. Congratulations again, my friend!
Congrats on the speedy win.
Clue #6 made me think of Elliot Walden, so Victory Gallop. I still thought I was making a wild guess. I don't usually get them out of the blue like that.
very impressive
Nice!

Was this one too easy? How did you get it so fast, Matt?
