Name These Rivals!

Name These Rivals

Rival Clue #1 - Both rivals were bred in the same American state, and it was not Kentucky.

Rival Clue #2- Each rival broke their maidens as juveniles, but did not become stakes winners until the age of three.

Rival Clue #3- Our first matchup came at Gulfstream Park, and it marked our only meeting where we finished 1-2.

Rival Clue #4 - Each rival earned their initial grade 1 stakes victory at Santa Anita.

Rival Clue #5 - Only one rival ran in the Kentucky Derby, and had a good, but not winning, result.

Rival Clue #6 - Our respective records within the rivalry were 4-1-1-1 and 4-1-1-0.

Do you know who we are yet?

Rival Clue #7 - We both competed in the Breeders’ Cup just once, faced each other, and finished 2nd and 4th respectively.

Rival Clue #8 - Each rival earned their first graded stakes win at Fair Grounds, while on the Kentucky Derby trail, but in different years.

Rival Clue #9 - Combined we earned more than four million on the track, and won stakes races in every season after our juvenile years.

Rival Clue #10 - The rival who finished ahead of the other in three of four, was also the one that competed in each leg of the Triple Crown.

Rival Clue #11 -  In each rival’s last race, we won a grade 1 stakes race by open lengths.

Rival Clue #12 - Both well traveled, one rival ran at 13 different racetracks, while the other competed at ten.

Go ahead … Name us both!

If they would put up a different picture, no one would say Zenyatta and Blame!!! I saw the pic and answered what horses I saw!! So shoot me :p
At least they get the logo right, Casey ;-)
EVERY SINGLE week, SOMEONE answers Zenyatta and Blame....that is not a rivalry...they faced each other ONE time...
I almost said that, teaches me to second guess my self
most definitely, heh
So close, Ryan ... and Michael Harris was there to pick up the pieces. Well done, Michael! It is Ron the Greek and Mucho Macho Man. Does Ryan get an assist here?
