NYRA Offers $300k Pick 4's at Belmont Park

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has announced that it will offer a $300,000 Guaranteed Late Pick 4 Saturdays at Belmont Park during the 2012 fall meet. The first $300,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 will be on Saturday, September 8.

Although NYRA offers daily Pick 4’s on races 2 - 5 and the final four races of the day, the $300,000 guarantee applies only to the Late Pick 4 on Saturdays. The Late Pick 4 is a 50 cent minimum wager in which the bettor must correctly pick the winners of the last four races on the card, usually beginning with race seven. By guaranteeing the wager for $300,000, NYRA will supplement the difference if the total wagering pool for the Saturday Late Pick 4 is less than $300,000.

On Super Saturday, September 29, the guarantee will rise to $500,000 in conjunction with the 94th running of the Grade 1, $1 million TVG Jockey Club Gold Cup Invitational. The Gold Cup is supported by four additional Grade 1 events: the $600,000 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational, the $600,000 Flower Bowl Invitational for fillies and mares on the turf, the $400,000 Beldame Invitational for fillies and mares, and the $400,000 Vosburgh Invitational for sprinters, along with the Grade 2, $400,000 Kelso Handicap at a mile on the main track.

Fans who want to earn rebates on their wagers can get paid to play with NYRA Rewards, the wagering program that offers cash back just for betting on the races, whether it’s on NYRA races or simulcast events!
