Multiple Grade 2 winner Munnings has been retired and will stand the 2011 season at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky. A stud fee will be announced at a later date.


A $1.7-million purchase at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton Calder sale of selected two-year-olds in training, Munnings captured the 2009 Woody Stephens Stakes (G2) and Tom Fool Handicap (G2) as a three-year-old and the Gulfstream Park Sprint Championship Stakes (G2) this year.


“Munnings is a terrific-looking individual who showed brilliant speed on the track and had an explosive kick at the end of his races,” Ashford Stud manager Dermot Ryan said. “He’s already here at Ashford, looking a million dollars, and is available for inspection.”
