Mission Impazible will skip Preakness

Twin Creeks Racing Stables’ Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Mission Impazible will skip the Preakness Stakes (G1) and instead target the Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) on August 1 at Monmouth Park.

“We’re going to make Haskell weekend our main goal for him,” said Randy Gullatt, farm and racing manager for Twin Creeks. “We’ve been on the fence about the Preakness, and we just went with our gut feeling. We think the Haskell would be the perfect race for him, and we don’t want to jeopardize him by doing too much with a maturing colt. We’re hoping to have a long career with him.”
