Every time you turn around some sportswriter is always writing about Mine That Bird "ripping off a bullet 5/8 or a bullet 6 furlongs. To bad these so called "bullet drills" that he so often, according to the sport's media never seem to materialize when it comes race time.
He'll need a few more bullets to make a dent next weekend.
mshutty, I couldn't have said it better myself. And as the season get's further along, it now more than ever makes his victory in the Kentucky Derby an absolute fluke. He happened to stay against the rail why the other horses were spinning their wheel's out further on the race track. He hasn't won a race since then, and in Grade 1 company I doubt he will.
closed in on r. alexandra at the finish line in preakness from last in the field. zenyata is sensational, nodoubt but likes to run i a crowd. the Bird likes to catch the crowd, alexandra runs strong from the crowd, she will not be there therfore my choice will be the Bird. WPS.......
He will be a complete bet against come Breeders Cup Day. Will be surprised if he even hits the board. G3 Stakes horse at best.
