Richard Migliore,
accomplished New York
rider and fan favorite, will participate in a live web chat on Friday, February
19 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Migliore, a Brooklyn native who has been riding regularly
on the NYRA circuit for nearly 30 years, is one of the most respected jockeys
in the business. Over the course of his career, “The Mig” has won nearly
4,450 races and is approaching the $160 million mark in lifetime
earnings.
In the latter half of 2009,
Migliore rode regularly for Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Godolphin
Stable, scoring Grade 1 victories aboard Flashing in the Test Stakes at
Saratoga Race Course in August, as well as the Gazelle Stakes in November at
Aqueduct. Migliore and Godolphin also teamed up for a stakes win in the
Grade 2 Louisiana Super Derby with Regal Ransom.
So far this year at Aqueduct,
Migliore has two stakes scores. He won the Ruthless aboard Crossed Sabres
Farms’ Indian Burn and the Whirlaway aboard Phillip Messina’s Peppi
Knows.
Fans who wish to participate
in the live dialogue with Migliore may log on to http://www.nyra.com/livechat
beginning this Friday at 8 p.m. No pre-registration is necessary and

NYRA has conducted live chats
on Friday evenings since October 23. Migliore will be the third guest

Handel, and leading trainer Gary Contessa. NYRA TV Analyst Andy Serling
regularly hosts the chats.
