The death of jockey Michael Baze was caused by an accidental overdose involving cocaine and prescription medication, according Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Jim Wesley.

Baze, from the famed family of jockeys from the western United States, was found dead in his vehicle in the Churchill Downs stable area on the afternoon of May 10. He was 24.

I think this is such a great loss to his family,horse racing , all his fans ( myself included ) . RIP . This isn't the first or the last. It effects our whole nation. the pressure these young men & women live under is tough . God be with them .h
No, Christians don't talk like that. Well, I don't talk like that. It's a pity he got into those, and a pity he could not use his better judgment, and a pity it ended up costing his life. But I do pity him because death is never a funny or good thing.
Just another tragic tale of talented youth gone wrong!! And another case of drugs further destroying the American infrastructure. Really sad, because this young man had a world of promise as a jockey!!

People like that dont deserve pity.. im sorry, not trying to be rude. but if you're going to use illegal drugs and that careless about the people you love and care about..
Again another athlete lost to severe error in judgment. He was one of the up and comers and its a shame for the sport as well as his family.
