Lukas not making predictions but he likes Mine That Bird

If Mine That Bird beats Quality Road in Saturday’s Whitney, you bet it’s a monumental upset. Mine That Bird, the 50-1 winner of the ‘09 Kentucky Derby, is 12-1 on the Whitney morning line; Quality Road, the dominant horse in the handicap division, is holding at 2-5. What the Nation is saying about Lukas not making predictions but he likes Mine That Bird ...

Poor old Darryl Wayne.......Take away the pharmacy and what do you have? just another trainer.
btw,,, reading the ny papers and listening to the owner and trainer of Musket man, it sounds like Dominguez is on Haynesfield only because the MM crew was undecisive about the Whitney and not because he thinks Haynesfield is the better horse...Probably a good business move by the Dominguez connections...
btw,,,
listening to Wayne Lukas is like letting casey stengel come back and manage baseball... the game has passed this guy by...Unfortuneately for his owners who keep spending big money on babies for him and watching these expensive horses continually lose , they havent figured out that hes DONE... He's a used car salesman now.... Blame is a perfect bounce candidate....He finally in his last race ran a fast one... Repeating those kind of numbers is very difficult so I make the race QR and Musket Man who both repeatedly run fast races.... Obviously MM has to step up to beat QR but I think the 9 LBS. and the extra distance will certainly help MM.....Great move on the MM team taking on the best as they usually do and they never duck anyone...And good luck to MM who has never run a bad race in his career.... He is a warrior.... Look forward to one day watching his babies run... Just hope Wayne Lukas doesnt train any of them.......
