Grand Slam Andre became the second horse to exit the Grade 3 Bashford Manor at Churchill Downs and win in his next start, when he rallied to take the $75,000 Middleground at Lone Star Park. Earlier this month, Vito Filitto came out of the Bashford Manor to win the $50,000 Minstrel at Louisiana Downs.
