Lady's Secret Likely for Blind Luck

Blind Luck wins the 2010 Alabama.
Six-time grade I winner Blind Luck turned in a seven-furlong breeze Sept. 21 at Hollywood Park, a solid tune-up for her next race Oct. 1. She covered the distance in 1:26 1/5.

Co-owner and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said that next race would likely be the $250,000 Lady’s Secret (gr. I) at Santa Anita Park. The 4-year-old daughter of Pollard's Vision was also nominated to the $350,000 Beldame Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont Park on the same day, but from a logistical standpoint the Lady’s Secret makes more sense, he said.

TimgSmith, unfortunately its called Mismanagement. BL has been asked to do too much, and according to some, the synthetic surfaces have started to take a toll, as they usually do on horses that train primarily over them. This filly has been asked to run almost once every month for the last 24 months. And as game as she is the fact that her connections didnt give her the break she deserved after the BC and wanted to target meaningless races in Jan and Feb has thrown their plans for a loop. At the same time almost all of the horses that ran in the BC received nice long breaks after their 2010 campaigns. They are now paying for that due to having to give her time off during the championship time of the year. Hope that BL is able to recover somehow, she will be up against it against Ask the Moon, this filly just ran 10f at Deep Saratoga, is Fit like no other and is cutting back to 8.5 furlongs on what is likely to be a ultra fast surface at S.A. Stay Tuned!!!!!
Tim......maybe jh took one too many visits to the eastern half of the country for luck's own good.
Why have a tired horse at championship time? he had 12 months to make sure she would fire her best shot for the BC/Eclipse horse defining races. I think he managed her poorly.
Why have your time/championship season? does this make sense to you?
tim....i keep trying to tell you that jerry is a great horseman. if hdg had travelled as much as bl, she'd need a nice break, also.
Come on Jerry Step up your game man. You got a loaded gun and are afraid to fire it.
