The 9-year-old mare kept showing signs she was about to foal, and her owner Carole Rio, who leases 40 acres of Rose Grove Farm near Ocala with her husband John, had been staying up day and night with her. He looks just fine in his works. Especially the 58 flat he ripped off in the mud at 5 furlongs. He wins this simply because his Papa didn't get the chance, and we know how well his Grandpa turned out before the '95 Donn.
He did not look like he was a fan of the going in his last work to me at all.
Great story. Makes me hope even more that he wins the Derby.
