Cool Blue Red Hot, who
missed the Grade 2 Jim Dandy because of illness, could make his return to the
races in Saturday’s Grade 1 Foxwoods King’s Bishop, trainer Angel Penna, Jr.,
said this morning.
Most
recently third behind Dominus in the Grade 2 Dwyer on July 2, Cool Blue Red Hot
has been working steadily toward a return, including Thursday’s five-furlong
move in 1:00.14.
“He’s
doing well,” said Penna, who trains Cool Blue Red Hot for Jim Bakke. “The King’s
Bishop is a very, very tough race, but we are considering it.”
Cool
Blue Red Hot, a dark bay son of Harlan’s
Holiday , is 2-2-2 from seven starts.
