Kentucky Oaks Top 10 - Zooming Zazu

I have a bit of catching up to do since my last 2011 Kentucky Derby Oaks blog was posted on Jan 24.


The Forward Gal Stakes was run on Jan 30 and featured two of my top ten players, R Heat Lightning and Dancinginherdreams, but both played second fiddle to surprise winner Pomeroys Pistol.


Dancinginherdreams took back and rallied smartly to finish a clear second. John Ward wanted her to learn to pass horses and was pleased with her effort. R Heat Lightning never got involved in a puzzling 5th place performance. The Gulfstream group could all meet again in the Feb 26 Davona Dale...
