Bob Baffert will not have a horse in the Kentucky Derby. Saying that out loud sounds very strange. I have a feeling the race will survive without Bob. And I am laying the line at 10-1 that he has the favorite in the field next year.
In other news, apparently ORB has already been recognized as the winner of the Kentucky Derby. At least that is what my twitter feed was stating after he churned out a crowd pleasing final prep. I hope this doesn't hurt on-track attendance. GOLDENCENTS flashed his most important asset during his gallop. Right before the end he rocketed down the backside for a furlong showing that valuable intrinsic speed. Jet lag not appearing to set in. Speed on a possible sealed track is always on the right side of dangerous.
The track was not playing as freeway fast today as it had been the previous day.
Don't forget to look for my Derby product which will be available on Friday. I am confident that the product will provide information the horse player will find quite useful. Workouts, trip notes, gallop notes, opinion galore.
The big weekend is inching closer. #excited
