Today's Derby contender works featured a four furlong breeze from exciting undefeated colt Verrazano. Todd Pletcher's Derby hopeful will make his stakes debut in the G2 Tampa Bay Derby on March 9.

Gelded1, there is no hype, im the only one that has him in the top 10. I just love his pedigree, ur correct he could b the slowest dirt horse ever... But im guessing he will be ok. Cant wait for the spiral, when he faces Uncaptured
I just don't understand the hype on this horse for a Derby contender. He hasn't even ran on dirt yet.A toss out for me until I see him run on dirt in a race and not just a workout time.
Colts with little seasoning have a very tough time when it comes to the big race.

Fear The Kitten sitting 26th in points, worked 4f in 48.00. Watch out for this closer the longer they go.
Real Quiet winner Carving worked six furlongs in company with Norfolk winner Power Broker for Baffert in 1:13.60 and 1:12.60, respectively. Rafael Bejarano was up on Power Broker.

This horse has a great shot to win the derby. He has the speed and stamina, now he just needs some derby points
