Today's Derby contender works featured a five furlong bullet from G2 Rebel Stakes hero Secret Circle. The Bob Baffert runner is expected to return to Oaklawn Park for the G1 Arkansas Derby on April 14.

Longview Drive, gearing up for the G1 SA Derby on April 7, worked 7f in 1:27.20 (2/5) at Hollywood Park on Thursday. G2 Rebel show finisher Scatman breezed 4f in :49 (3/13) at Oaklawn Park. Casual Trick, 7th in the G2 Fountain of Youth, went 6f in 1:14.11 (1/2) at Palm Meadows.       

 

March 28 Works:

 

G1 Santa Anita Derby hopeful Creative Cause, currently ranked #3 on the HRN Kentucky Derby poll, worked 6f in 1:12.80 (2/9) at Hollywood Park on Wednesday. Stakes placed maiden Brother Francis, also targeting the SA Derby, drilled 5f in :59 (3/50) at Santa Anita Park. Blingo, 6th in the G2 San Felipe, went 4f in :49.40 (21/29) at Hollywood Park for trainer John Shirreffs.
