Today's Derby contender works featured a four furlong breeze from G2 Risen Star hero El Padrino. The talented Todd Pletcher trainee is expected to square off against Union Rags in the G1 Florida Derby on March 31.

G3 Swale Stakes winner Trinniberg fired a 5f bullet in 1:01 (1/8) at Calder on Sunday. Our Entourage, a sharp turf route winner vs. optional claiming company at the Gulf on Feb 25, breezed 5f in 1:01.56 (10/29) at Palm Meadows. Animal Spirits, last seen finishing 5th in the G1 BC Juvenile Turf, breezed 5f in 1:04 (44/52) at Fair Grounds. Hierro, a troubled 4th in an optional claiming sprint at Santa Anita on March 16, worked an easy 4f in :52 (16/16) at the Great Race Place.

Went The Day Well earned a 92 BSF for his G3 Spiral Stakes tally on Saturday. The G3 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on April 21 might be next.
