Today's Derby contender works featured a strong five furlong move from G1 CashCall Futurity winner Liaison. The Bob Baffert trainee is gearing up for the G2 Robert Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Park on Feb 4.

#5 Liaison – 5f in :59.20 (3/24) at Santa Anita.

#17 Rousing Sermon - 6f in 1:13.40 (4/12) at Santa Anita. 

#29 Optimizer - 4f bullet in :49 (1/55) at Oaklawn Park.

#94 Lord Tarzan - 5f on turf in 1:04.15 (5/7) at Palm Meadows.

Notes:

CashCall Futurity 4th place finisher #133 Sky Kingdom, also trained by Bob Baffert, was a facile winner against three rivals in an allowance route at Santa Anita Park on Thursday. He will make his next start in a three-year-old graded route somewhere.
