Kentucky Derby 2012 Workout Report April 1 - Gemologist fires bullet

Today's Derby contender works featured a five furlong bullet from Todd Pletcher's undefeated colt Gemologist. That was his last major piece of work for Saturday's G1 Wood Memorial at Aqueduct.

#7 Gemologist - 5f in 1:00.44 (1/8) at Palm Meadows.

#15 Dullahan - Breezed 5f in 1:02.10 (10/11) at Gulfstream.

Stat, gearing up for a possible run in the G1 Arkansas Derby, breezed 4f in :48.93 (15/42) at Palm Meadows for trainer Todd Pletcher. Speaking of Pletcher, he sent out Our Entourage for a 4f move in :47.88 (4/42), also at Palm Meadows. Empire Way breezed 3f in :38.60 (11/13) at Hollywood Park. Atigun, unplaced in the G2 Rebel Stakes last time, breezed 5f in 1:01.40 (6/29) at Oaklawn. Motor City, up the track in the G3 Swale, breezed a slow 4f in :51.11 (35/42) at Palm Meadows.
