Creative Cause takes the 2012 San Felipe
Kentucky Derby 2012 
workouts for Tuesday, April 17 

Today's Derby contender works featured a five furlong move from G1 Santa Anita Derby runner-up Creative Cause. The Mike Harrington trainee beat subsequent G1 Arkansas Derby winner Bodemeister in the G2 San Felipe in March.

Notes:

 

Castaway will make his next start in the G3 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday. A win would give him sufficent Derby graded earnings for trainer Bob Baffert. Alpha is recovering from an infection and did not ship to Churchill Downs on Monday as originally planned. He will now prepare for the Derby at Belmont Park before flying to Louisville on April 30.
