Today's Derby contender works featured a five furlong bullet from G3 Sunland Derby hero Daddy Nose Best. The Steve Asmussen trainee will be ridden by Garrett Gomez on the first Saturday in May.

Rousing Sermon worked 5f in 1:00 (6/60) at Hollywood Park on April 15. The Jerry Hollendorfer trainee most recently landed the show in the G2 Louisiana Derby and should make the Kentucky Derby starting gate with $269k in graded earnings.


Notes:

 

Reveron is not expected to enter the G3 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday. He will reportedly ship to Churchill Downs in hopes of making the Derby graded earnings cut. He currently sits 23rd on the earnings list with $220k.
