What the Nation is saying about Kentucky Derby 2012 Prep Recap - Holy Bull Stakes VIDEO...

P.S Hansens has speed & distance in his pedigree. Tapit, AP Indy, Unbridled, storm cat to mention a few. He is a champion if he never runs another race as 3 yr. old champion Eclipse winner and having 1,18 mil. in winnings. a worthy sir to many. I hope he can go on to rack up more money. Time will tell if his connections can figure it out.
You make me feel much better with your expert advise. I have watched Hansens races with much excitment. I listened to the trainers comments several days before the race and read everything I could find on the Web. DRF messed up my account so I couldn't see the race or bet. I called a friend and was told about the outcome. I read a clip that said the race time was off at Gulfstreamm as has been in many 1 mi.races. Upon checking with another timer it was 135 & chg. not 137. That even makes his fractions faster. I hope he came out of the race OK, as he had never ran on an off track, stumbling at the start and being passed before the wire. All new for him! Please don't ever think that they don't know if they have won or not. They know! Their whole attitude is different. I had a mare that after she won a race would actually do a little dance when cooling out, and a gelding that after a win would kick up in back every 3 or 4 steps on his way to the test barn. I hope the trainer & Jocky can figure out this talented colt. We need a special horse in this business badly! Will see what the future brings. I would like to hear your coments on the time. I know the ones posted at Gulfstream were fast enough for a mile!
Hansen has indeed a more quality; following my opinion Hansen ,like many young horses, when is alone in top of the race, try to abandone himsolf cause he think "ok all is finish". The remedium is : must made some tacticts run following a temporary lader and then go to beat him in the last meters with a stron change of velocity....
Still way too early to tell. If Hansen cant control his pace better than that, he has no shot. But Union Rags also has to learn to run in a straight line down the stretch and navigate traffic better. How they both adapt will make a big difference.
