Kays And Jays Wins Hurricane Bertie

Zayat Stables' KAYS AND JAYS (Macho Uno) surged to the lead leaving the far turn and gamely withstood the charge of Tar Heel Mom (Flatter) in deep stretch to win Saturday's $125,000 Hurricane Bertie S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park. The four-year-old filly registered her first graded victory with the half-length decision, completing 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16 1/5 beneath Jose Lezcano, and she's now earned $308,030 from an 11-5-3-0 line.
