Joha Goes Through Keeneland Auction Ring

Grade I winner Joha will be offered as a racing prospect at the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale. The soon-to-be 3-year-old son of Johar will sell the first day of the sale, Jan. 7, and is consigned as Hip No. 381.

Joha established himself as a leading 2-year-old after winning or placing in three stakes earlier this year. The colt broke his maiden at Belmont Park May 24 by nearly three lengths, and then won the July 14 Colin Stakes at Woodbine in July with a late surge at the wire. Sent to Saratoga Race Course, Joha was second by a head in the With Anticipation (gr. IIT), and then came back to Kentucky to take Keeneland's Breeders' Futurity (gr. I) by a length Oct. 6.

Out of the stakes-winning Mujadil mare Mujado, Joha has compiled an overall record of 3-2-1 from eight starts, for earnings of $427,538.
