Injured jockey Michael Straight got his first positive sign on the road
to recovery when his toes moved on their own last night. The
24-year-old East Greenbush native sustained four fractured vertebrae in
his spine along with other damages in an Aug. 26 racing accident at
Chicago's Arlington Park, and has been unable to move his legs since
then. His family, however, has held out hope that he will walk again.
