February 13, 2010. Jeranimo riden by Martin Garcia, wins The Strub Stakes at Santa Anita Park, Arcadia, CA Jeranimo showed Monday that he belongs in the conversation regarding California’s top handicap horses. His timing could not be better.

Owner B.J. Wright has the $300,000 Sunshine Millions Turf for California-breds and Florida-breds on Jan. 29 as a short-term goal, with the $750,000 Santa Anita Handicap on the main track March 5 as a late-winter goal.

What the Nation is saying about Jeranimo Shines at Santa Anita...

Impressive win in the San Gabriel. Beat some good turf horses on a good surface. Like the way he exploded up the rail. This could be a big year for Jeranimo. When he was younger he was a bit high-strung. But now as he's gotten older, he's alot more mellow and focused. This son of Congaree, has the potential to put together a very good season. It'll be him and Sidneys Candy who will be battling it out for top Californian horse.
