Jackson Bend Sweeps Florida Stallion Stakes

Jacks or Better Farm's homebred 2-year-old colt Jackson Bend overcame a poor start and a late challenge from a contender to win the $400,000 In Reality Division of the Florida Stallion Stakes at Calder Race Course's Festival of the Sun on Oct. 17. The victory made him the seventh horse in history to complete a sweep of the open division of the Florida Stallion Stakes. Read More

Two straight years now that they've had a horse sweep the Florida Stallion Series. Jackson Bend did it this year and in 2008 a horse called "Big Drama" did it as well. Must be turning out some quality thoroughbred's down there. The Florida Stallion Series consist of the Dr. Fager Stakes, the Affirmed Stakes, and the In Reality Stakes. Big Drama also went on to win the Delta Jackpot Stakes in the Florida Stallion Series as well as a 2yr.old.
