Classic-placed runner Itsmyluckyday leads a field of seven
entered in Saturday’s feature, the $75,000 Majestic Light Stakes at a
mile and 70 yards.
Trained by Eddie Plesa Jr., Itsmyluckyday broke his
maiden at Monmouth on June 23, 2012. Since then the 4-year-old colt by
Lawyer Ron has won five stakes
races, including the Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream in his
3-year-old season. In addition, last year the Trilogy Stable and Laurie
Plesa color-bearer was second in the Florida Derby and the Preakness
Itsmyluckyday enters the Majestic Light off a
three-length score in the Best of the Rest Stakes at Gulfstream on April
Set to take on Itsmyluckyday are six rivals,
including graded stakes winners Code West and Golden Itiz as well as
stakes winners Spa City Fever and Behemoth.
A field of seven has entered the Majestic Light, which goes as race 11
on a 12-race card.
FOOD TRUCKS ROLL IN FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Park’s popular Food
Truck Festival returns this Saturday and for the first time will span
all three days of the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. With trucks from
across the state set to invade the racetrack,
the Food Truck Festival will get underway at 11:30 a.m. each of the

a great experience for everyone involved and an event that I’m sure
will continue to grow in the years to come.”
The food trucks first rolled into Monmouth in 2012
for a one-day event. Last year they spent two days at Monmouth and of
course this year they’ll spend
three days in Oceanport.
Among those who will be concocting their culinary
delights are: Empanada Man, Max’s Hot Gods, Hoffman’s Ice Cream, Bacon
on Wheels and Enzo’s Pizza, to
name but a few.
Park gates open at 11:30 a.m., with the
first live race slated for 12:50 p.m. Admission to the Grandstand,
where the food trucks will assemble, is $3 – seniors pay $2 and children
12 and under are free.

AUSTIN WEBB, AFTER THE REIGN TO PERFORM THIS SATURDAY AT MP
Taking the stage “On the Green” this Saturday at
Park will be recording artist Austin Webb, as well as local favorite After the Reign.
Webb, best known for his songs Slip On By and It’s
All Good, and After the Reign will take the mic beginning 11:30 a.m. and
play through 3:00 p.m. Country
Thunder 106.3 FM will also be on-hand with the two acts.
Live Thoroughbred racing gets underway at 12:50 p.m.
