I'll Have Another stretches legs in Baltimore

Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another went through another strong gallop Monday morning at Pimlico, where trainer Doug O’Neill chose to send the colt to the track earlier than usual to dodge expected rain later in the morning.

With the track still fast, and with exercise rider Jonny Garcia up, I’ll Have Another was accompanied to the five-furlong pole by his multi-millionaire pony Lava Man before breaking off into a very lively gallop of three-quarters of a mile. Pimlico clocker Mark Euga caught the colt in 26.60 seconds from the quarter pole to the wire.

I’ll Have Another runs Saturday in the 137th Preakness at Pimlico.

What the Nation is saying about I'll Have Another stretches legs in Baltimore...

bodie is fast but that doesnt cut it he woreout at the derby not anofe endurance for ill have another welcome to the preakness were endurance is key for the win
It appears the Preakness Stakes will be run "California Style, hard and fast; This suits the Pimlico Race Course. Tight turns could hang some jockey outside the challengers. The only question other than the winner will be "How Fast Will Preakness 2012 be Won"?
  • Bucky · its not about speed my friend late me teach you about horse raceing yes speed looks good but in the preakness you have to have endurance to win seed loose this one the fave will loose and the kentucky derby winner will be one step closer in captureing the triple crown watch and see what im talking about ill have another will win at the wire · 400 days ago ·
