Ice Box, the unlucky second-place finisher in the Kentucky Derby, drew post 6 and was installed as the 3-1 favorite of 12 runners for the June 5 Belmont Stakes.
Trained by Nick Zito for owner Robert LaPenta, Ice Box is one of three Derby starters entered in the Belmont, along with Make Music For Me and Stately Victor. Neither Derby winner Super Saver nor Preakness Stakes (gr. I) winner Lookin At Lucky was entered in the Belmont, which does include Preakness runner-up First Dude.
