Hollendorfer Happy with Champ Shared Belief

Jerry Hollendorfer was on the beat as usual Sunday morning after Shared Belief was named male 2-year-old champion of 2013 at last night’s Eclipse Awards ceremony in Florida.

“We’re happy to win the Eclipse Award,” the Hall of Fame trainer said of the unbeaten gelding, who missed a scheduled workout last Sunday due to an abscess on his right front foot.    

“We’re being overly cautious,” Hollendorfer said of Shared Belief’s ailment. “We have time. Maybe he’ll work in a couple of days.”
