A trio of graded stakes winners headline a full field
of 3-year-old fillies in Saturday night's $400,000 Charles Town Oaks at
Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
The seven-furlong Charles Town Oaks will be the featured event on the track's third annual Race for the Ribbon card.
Bobby
Flay's Grade 1 winner, Her Smile, the lone Grade 1 winner in the field,
will try to get back on track following her fourth-place finish in last
month's Test (G1) at Saratoga, N.Y.
After a second-place finish
in April's Comely (G3) at Aqueduct, N.Y., the Virginia-bred Her Smile
was transferred to trainer Todd Pletcher's barn and made her first start
for her new conditioner in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) four weeks later. An
11th place finish in the Kentucky Oaks led Pletcher to turn her back in
distance for the Acorn (G1) on Belmont Stakes day.
