Gulfstream: $100K Guaranteed Rainbow 6 on Saturday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 will offer a $100,000 guaranteed carryover jackpot Saturday at Gulfstream Park.

The popular multi-race wager requires a bettor to be the only one holding a ticket with the winners of all six races in order to win the carryover jackpot.

There were multiple ticketholders with Friday’s winning combination of 6-3-2-5-2-1 each cashing for $221.24.

Saturday’s six-race sequence will span races 6 through 11 and will include the $75,000 Birdonthewire Stakes in the ninth and the $75,000 Cassidy Stakes in the 10th, both carded for 5 ½ furlongs. Undefeated Dekabrist, the track-record holder for 4 ½ furlongs, is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in a field of 11 in the first of the back-to-back stakes for 2-year-olds. Dogwood Trail and Naval Command, a pair of promising first-out winners, lead a field of 14 juvenile fillies in the Cassidy.

There will also be a Super Hi 5 Carryover of $8,987.97.
