Groupie Doll Repeats in Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint

Groupie Doll, reigning Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint champion, gutted out a victory over fast-closing Judy The Beauty in what is expected to be her final career start.

Groupie Doll, with regular rider Rajiv Maragh, sat just off pacesetters Renee's Titan and Sweet Lulu before unleashing her patented rally on the outside as they spun into the turn. Groupie Doll gained ground with every stride and passed the tiring leaders just as Judy The Beauty and Dance Card swept up to challenge. The champ prevailed by a neck at the wire.

Groupie Doll is owned and trained by William "Buff" Bradley. She paid $8.00 to win.
