Groupie Doll Reigns Supreme in BC F&M Sprint

GROUPIE DOLL, ridden by Rajiv Maragh and trained by William Bradley, wins the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on November 3, 2012.

Groupie Doll made 3-5 look like a gift with a scintillating outside stalk and pounce victory over Dust and Diamonds in Saturday's G1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint at Santa Anita Park.

Teddy's Promise shot up the rail to set the temp with Dust and Diamonds perched to her outside. The latter took command turning for home but was no match for Groupie Doll while clearly second best.

Switch, the runner-up in this event in 2010 and 2011, rallied outside to land the show.

Groupie Doll was ridden to victory by Rajiv Maragh, who booted home Hightail in yesterday's BC Juvenile Sprint.
