Giving Thanks

As we draw towards the close of 2012, I would like to take this opportunity to give thanks. It has been a year filled with the blessings of talented horses and great races. To these racing gifts, which are so frequently enjoyed that we can at times take them for granted, I am thankful. The majestic thoroughbred horse, in my opinion the most beautiful of all animals that walk the earth, and whom give us their effort, their heart, and their soul on a daily basis simply for the opportunity to test their physical talents, and for our sporting enjoyment, I am thankful. To all the men and women who have had their hearts penetrated by the lure and the love of the horse, and have dedicated their lives to being by their side, I give my thanks. Truly not just for Kings, horse racing is a sport, a game, a life choice, that can both lift your spirits incredibly high and tear your heart to pieces within a single afternoon. A needed diversion to some, lifeblood to others, I am thankful that it has been a big part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Finally, I give thanks to my family, friends, colleagues, and for that matter, fans of the horse, and race fans everywhere. Thank you for joining me in this lifetime journey … Godspeed to us all.

What the Nation is saying about Giving Thanks...

Couldn't have said it better myself, chief.
Nice choice of words. I say thanks to everyone passionate for Thoroughbreds. I do not really consider this a sport, for me this is a game, a game of winning $ and trying to stay in the black. Happy Thanksgiving everyone- especially to the grinders. Salute and keep hitting those overlay$.
