Giant Oak, Blame Work for Foster

The Virginia H. Tarra Trust's GIANT OAK (Giant's Causeway) signaled his readiness for Saturday's 29th running of the $600,000 Stephen Foster H. (G1) by working a bullet five furlongs in :59 3/5 over the fast track at Churchill Downs after the renovation break Sunday morning. With jockey Shaun Bridgmohan up and working in company with Arlington Classic S. third Gleam of Hope (City Zip) from the barn of Tony Reinstedler, Giant Oak posted fractions of :12 1/5, :23 3/5, :35 3/5 and :47 4/5 before galloping out six furlongs in 1:13.
