GEORGE VANCOUVER, ridden by Ryan Moore and trained by Aidan O'Brien, wins the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on November 3, 2012.

George Vancouver wins the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf!

The Aidan O'Brien trainee got a perfect trip under jockey Ryan Moore in the 1-mile race at Santa Anita. Fast-closing American colts Noble Tune and Balance The Books, both trained by Chad Brown, filled out the trifecta.

A full field of 12 evenly-matched juveniles contested the race, which featured four classy Europeans. George Vancouver is sired by 2008 BC Classic runner-up Henrythenavigator and owned by Coolmore. The colt paid $20.60 for the win. It was the 4th win in the Juvenile Turf for a European-based colt, a sweep for Europeans in the race at Santa Anita.
