Silverfoot, Baltimore Bob, Dubious Miss Breeze Monday for Saturday’s Fair Grounds Handicap

Chrysalis Stables’ Silverfoot and Robert Gerzak and Kaygar Stable’s Baltimore Bob both breezed half-mile moves in 52.60 and 53.40, respectively, Monday morning in preparation for Saturday’s Grade III Fair Grounds Handicap, to be contested over the Stall-Wilson turf course.

Silverfoot, trained by Dallas Stewart, and Baltimore Bob, conditioned by Helen Pitts-Blasi, were preparing for Saturday’s middle leg of Fair Grounds’ troika of major turf stakes that concludes with the Grade II Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Memorial Handicap March 27.

Silverfoot won Arlington’s Grade III Stars and Stripes Handicap two years ago but hasn’t started since finishing sixth in last summer’s renewal on Sept. 7, while Baltimore Bob most recently finished third in Sam Houston’s Grade III John B. Connally Handicap Jan. 30.

Also breezing prior to participation in Saturday’s Fair Grounds Handicap was David Holloway Racing’s Dubious Miss, who breezed five furlongs in 1:03 Monday morning for trainer Paul McGee.
