Thursday’s Del Mar Recap  – August 22 (Day 27)

Polytrack surface seemed to play fair and yielded one sprint wire-to-wire winner at 5.5f. The two turf routes produced patient marathon winner Starspangled Heat and impressive flat mile winner Winning Prize (turf rail at 14 feet).

Rafael Bejarano and Edwin Maldonado both booted home a pair. Steve Miyadi saddled the early double and Maldonado rode both.

On the spread ticket front I tabbed two Primary winners (Midnight Lady, Winning Prize) and one Secondary winner (Smokin’ Ten).
