Sunday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – April 20 (5 out of 6)

Edge to early-pressing types on the fast main track. Stalkers and closers nabbed all four turf races on the Easter Sunday program (rail at 15 feet).

Rafael Bejarano, Victor Espinoza (turf), and Mike Smith each booted home a pair. Doug O’Neill saddled two winners and Mike Smith rode both. John Sadler saddled two turf winners and Espinoza rode both.

Using the Primary-Secondary ticket strategy on Sunday, I tabbed four Primary winners (Suzy Malibu, Happy Idea, Beholder, Bench Light) and two Secondary winners (Hugh Knew, Safety Belt). The 5 out of 6 consolation prize returned $102.80 (x 4). I also tabbed the late Pick 4 ($68.70).
