Firecracker blog: Works in progress

Monday evening, admiring Strike Impact with all his dapples and the good flesh he carries, I felt pretty cocky, saying to Pat, “If he runs to his looks, he could be tough.”


Strike Impact, the one-horse stable trained and partly-owned by my husband, Pat Dupuy, is targeting the $175,000-added, Grade II Firecracker Handicap at a mile on turf on Churchill Downs’ closing-day card July 4. It will be the biggest race the horse or Pat has ever been in.
